A Broken Glass

Small moments sometimes teach a lifelong lesson! A glass falling from a hand is an accident to others, but for a mother, it reflects the emotions she is handling alone; it is the burden of emotions she is carrying all alone that shatters into pieces.

For a second, a mother feels everything is still. Her emotions are scattered on the surface, and she is not sure whether it is a weakness or a courage!! For all the mothers out there, showcasing your emotions is not a weakness; it’s courage. A bag of emotions bursting out does not make you incapable of being a mother; it makes you stronger.  A mother is always considered the family’s strongest pillar. She is being seen as a never-tired human being. But when she is shattered, she is seen as the weakest! NO, shattering in a moment is not a weakness! Breaking does not mean it’s over; sometimes it means releasing your long-held emotions, which will make you stronger.

Shattered glass reflects more clarity. Just like that, the shattering of a mother’s emotions is a strong reminder that you are a HUMAN, who gets tired, who has dreams, who has her own identity, who also feels and has boundaries. Every mother needs to understand that her well-being is as important as anyone else’s. Once you realize this, you will take a break without feeling guilty, you will speak up without fear of being judged, you will give yourself some rest without feeling SORRY. Children learn from their mother, and by doing this, you teach the most important lesson: SELF-LOVE is not selfish.

A broken glass cannot be reshaped into its original form. Rather, it is converted to beautiful art. In the same way, a mother’s broken emotion cannot be reversed; rather, a mother becomes stronger. She rebuilds to be a lot wiser than before. She no longer hesitates to ask for support. She learns to celebrate small victories and is clearer about her boundaries. She starts to SELF-CARE, which is exactly what a mother should do.

Breaking is not the end; it can be the beginning of something new. Being a mother, you may feel broken again, but when you rise, you rise stronger, wiser; you rebuild yourself and become brighter than before.
