About Surbhi Agrawal

A mother who has been
where you are right now.

Surbhi Agrawal is an MBA-qualified Project Manager, a writer, and most importantly — a mother who walked through postpartum depression and came out the other side with a mission. Nuture Matru was not built in a classroom. It was built in the quiet, hard moments that no one talks about.

I started Nuture Matru because I needed it to exist — and because no mother should have to feel as alone as I did.

My Story

I was drowning —
and nobody knew.

After the birth of my son, I found myself in a place I had not prepared for. I had read the books, attended the classes, and felt ready. But nothing prepared me for the quiet devastation of postpartum depression — the guilt, the numbness, the feeling that I was failing at the one thing I was supposed to be good at.

I am an MBA graduate and a Project Manager at an MNC. I am organised, capable, and used to figuring things out. But motherhood dismantled all of that — and rebuilt me slowly, painfully, and beautifully into someone I did not yet recognise.

Nuture Matru was not born from a business plan. It was born from the desperate wish that something like this had existed when I needed it most — a space with no labels, no pressure, and no performance. Just honesty and warmth.

I write so that the mother reading at midnight knows she is not alone. I always was — I just did not know it yet.

What I Believe

The convictions that
shape everything I do.

These are not just values on a page. They are the beliefs I carried through my darkest season — and the ones that guide every word I write.

🌿
01
Every mother deserves to feel seen.
Not fixed. Not advised. Not diagnosed. Just truly, quietly seen.

The most powerful thing anyone did for me during my postpartum journey was acknowledge what I was feeling without trying to change it. That is what I try to offer — a space where mothers are witnessed, not managed.

🤍
02
Asking for help is an act of courage.
Strength is not silence. It is the courage to reach out.

We live in a world that rewards mothers who cope quietly and asks nothing for themselves. I believe that culture is harmful — and that seeking support is one of the bravest, wisest things a mother can ever do.

03
Lived experience is its own wisdom.
No textbook can teach what a mother already knows in her bones.

I did not build Nuture Matru from a certification. I built it from the nights I couldn't sleep, the days I felt invisible, and the slow, hard work of healing. That experience is not a limitation — it is the foundation of everything here.

Our Purpose

What drives Nuture Matru

Every word written, every space held, and every conversation started here flows from these two commitments.

Our Mission
🌿
To ensure no mother
walks this path alone.

Nuture Matru exists to provide every mother — regardless of where she is in her journey — with a safe, honest, and compassionate space to be heard, supported, and reminded that what she is feeling is real, valid, and survivable.

Confident parenting begins with a mother who feels seen and supported.
Our Vision
A world where mothers
are met with gentleness.

We envision a world where the emotional wellbeing of mothers is treated as essential — not optional. Where asking for help is celebrated, not stigmatised. And where every stage of motherhood is met with the warmth, honesty, and community it deserves.

Embracing motherhood — in all its complexity, beauty, and weight.
Beyond Motherhood

The woman
behind the brand.

Surbhi is more than a founder and a mother. She is a writer, an artist, a traveller, and a woman who believes deeply that a full life — with all its colour and curiosity — makes for a better guide.

The more fully I live, the more honestly I can hold space for others.
