A mother who has been
where you are right now.
Surbhi Agrawal is an MBA-qualified Project Manager, a writer, and most importantly — a mother who walked through postpartum depression and came out the other side with a mission. Nuture Matru was not built in a classroom. It was built in the quiet, hard moments that no one talks about.
I was drowning —
and nobody knew.
After the birth of my son, I found myself in a place I had not prepared for. I had read the books, attended the classes, and felt ready. But nothing prepared me for the quiet devastation of postpartum depression — the guilt, the numbness, the feeling that I was failing at the one thing I was supposed to be good at.
I am an MBA graduate and a Project Manager at an MNC. I am organised, capable, and used to figuring things out. But motherhood dismantled all of that — and rebuilt me slowly, painfully, and beautifully into someone I did not yet recognise.
Nuture Matru was not born from a business plan. It was born from the desperate wish that something like this had existed when I needed it most — a space with no labels, no pressure, and no performance. Just honesty and warmth.
The convictions that
shape everything I do.
These are not just values on a page. They are the beliefs I carried through my darkest season — and the ones that guide every word I write.
The most powerful thing anyone did for me during my postpartum journey was acknowledge what I was feeling without trying to change it. That is what I try to offer — a space where mothers are witnessed, not managed.
We live in a world that rewards mothers who cope quietly and asks nothing for themselves. I believe that culture is harmful — and that seeking support is one of the bravest, wisest things a mother can ever do.
I did not build Nuture Matru from a certification. I built it from the nights I couldn't sleep, the days I felt invisible, and the slow, hard work of healing. That experience is not a limitation — it is the foundation of everything here.
What drives Nuture Matru
Every word written, every space held, and every conversation started here flows from these two commitments.
walks this path alone.
Nuture Matru exists to provide every mother — regardless of where she is in her journey — with a safe, honest, and compassionate space to be heard, supported, and reminded that what she is feeling is real, valid, and survivable.
are met with gentleness.
We envision a world where the emotional wellbeing of mothers is treated as essential — not optional. Where asking for help is celebrated, not stigmatised. And where every stage of motherhood is met with the warmth, honesty, and community it deserves.
